Artboard Copy 11.png

A multi branded connected home

At Liberty Global we managed to provide the existing Connect App of a new Skin and a bunch of new features. Supporting the Virgin Media, Ziggo/Vodafone, ETLEM and T-Mobile brand guides.

What I did

  • Stakeholder management

  • User Experience Design

  • Design system management

  • User testing

  • Development handoff

When I joined the Liberty Global design team, the team was close to finishing the restyling of the Connect App and ready for the 2.0 design. My assignment was to design the 2.0 journeys into the Connect App including on hand installation flows, device fingerprinting and performing a home scan to provide your home with an optimal internet connection of . Part of this challenge was also helping Liberty Global manage the agile way of working and show the importance of UX design in such a big company.

Bas translates new journeys in a practical way into good designs, he fully owns the product and knows when to find you. He’s adaptive but also ready to defend the design choices when needed.

A new brand in a few minutes

Due an Atomic design system we were able to make an adaptable, multi-branded design. Make changes to one brand and it will automatically updates the other brands. Even a new brand is minutes away. Duplicate and update the stylesheet and your new brand is ready to go.

Manage your network and devices

No need to enter a techy website to manage your internet settings. Change and share your Wi-Fi name and password in a few taps. Have an overview of all to your network connected devices and pause your son’s PlayStation for the internet when it’s time to study.
